Collegiate Research Symposium

Every spring, the Rochester Local section of the American Chemical Society holds a symposium for undergraduate college students and Masters students to present their research, recognize awardees of the Undergraduate ACS Rochester Section Award, and listen to an outstanding chemist in their keynote lecture. Undergraduate students and Masters students are given the opportunity to present posters and give short talks. These presentations will be rated by judges and awards will be presented for the best poster and best talk at the end of the event.

As the location of the symposium rotates among the local colleges, this year’s Collegiate Research Symposium will be taking place at the University of Rochester in Hutchison Hall on Saturday, April 9th, 2022 8:30am-1pm. Registration for attendees and presenters is open by completing this google form. Abstract deadlines have been extended to April 1st, 2022 12:00 (noon) on a first come, first served basis up to 2 talks and 4-5 poster presentations and abstracts will automatically be accepted if submitted within these guidelines.

To promote greater representation and inclusivity for this event, an ASL interpreter will be available upon request before April 5th, 2022. Please make sure to request any accommodations when registering for the event.

Take advantage of this opportunity to present your research in this year’s Rochester Collegiate Research Symposium!
