Recognition Night

The Rochester Local Section is sincerely grateful for the contributions of our members to the Local Section, region and to the scientific community as a whole.

We seek to recognize the contributions of our members through awards and recognition at this annual event. The event typically consists of a dinner and a keynote speaker. In past years, Recognition night has been held at unique venues such as the Rochester Museum and Science Center and the Strasenburgh Planetarium.

The following award winners are recognized at this event:

  • Volunteerism Award
  • Entrepreneur Award
  • Salute to Excellence
  • High school Science Teacher of the Year

We also recognize our long time 50, 60 and 70 year members and inductees to the ACS Fellows Class. (Note that the Harrison Howe award is presented at its own independent event.)
