Rochester Distinguished Service Award

Guidelines–The Rochester Distinguished Service Award  to the Rochester ACS Section

Purpose: To recognize members who demonstrate outstanding leadership and service to the Rochester Section of the American Chemical Society.

Nature and Establishment: The award consists of a plaque presented at the annual Rochester Local Section’s Recognition Event by the Chair. Dinner will be offered free of charge to the winner and a guest.

Rules of Eligibility: A nominee must be a member of the American Chemical Society residing in the Rochester Local Section 6 county region.

Attributes:

Demonstrated leadership for two or more years but not limited to the following:

  • Officer of the Rochester Section Executive Committee
  • Committee Chair
  • Event Chair

Has participated on teams for two or more years.

Contributes to developing and aligning our strategic Plan with ACS Strategic Plan.

Supports the section’s vision and mission.

Exhibits a collegial, inclusive, positive, and respectful environment for their fellow volunteers and attendees.

Selection of Recipient: Nominations will be solicited from individuals of the Rochester Local Section. The awards committee will select the recipient.
